Street Soccer & Freestyle hitting the rural

On the 28 November 2014 Siyajabula launched its first ever street soccer and soccer freestyle tournament hosted at Matlwangtlwang multipurpose complex in Steynsrus Free State. The name of this program is called “After Scool – After Scool” designed to transform the social activities which scholars/teenagers participate in during the school closure period which is the last day of the school before school holidays.

Our debut event was an incredible success were over 56 talented boys participated with great excellence by displaying their skills and passion for the sports. For most of them it was for the first time to celebrate and enjoy their last day of school before the holidays in this manner. As in most cases they would normally go to parties, taverns, clubs, initiation schools, etc, but for them this time was a different story. Everyone was looking forward to claim their prize in the fields.

As seen on the photo: The boys were delighted to see and share moments with one of the South African Football Association (SAFA) executives Mr. Sipho Nkumane as he was our special guest for the day. The day was filled with lots of fun, sweat and educational. “WE TAKING IT TO THE PEOPLE IN ALL SPHERES”.
